Spanish @ AHSS
ear students and parents!
Hello and welcome! To encourage students with language learning we’d like to give students in grades six and above the opportunity to study Spanish with qualified instructors with the cooperation with Instituto Cervantes, the Spanish Cultural Center.
“…students would be adequately prepared to score successfully on the SAT Spanish Subject Test, one of several subjects that may be used to obtain the Tawjihi high school certificate”
The first level of this course is A1.1 of “Nivel A1” or level A1. Level A1 is the first of six levels that form part of the DELE (Diplomas of Spanish as a Foreign Language). Working alongside AHSS teacher Zaina Abu Hammour and, after taking courses A1.1 and A1.2, students would be adequately prepared to score successfully on the SAT Spanish Subject Test, one of several subjects that may be used to obtain the Tawjihi high school certificate. Students would also be prepared to sit for the DELE level A1 exam.
Lessons begin in January 2018. Course A1.1 will be divided into two 30-hour courses. Tuition for each 30-hour course is 85 JOD. Books & materials cost 25 JOD. 8th-grade students and older who have some knowledge of Spanish should sit for a level test.
