This year AHSS is opening up the opportunity for students to form clubs that match their interests. All of the clubs will be student-driven. Students can form clubs about any of their interests.
“It will add extracurricular activities, team buildings, it will will help with college resumes,” said Mr. James, who is the AHSS Club Program advisor.
If a student is interested in forming a club they can talk to Mr. James. He will help them fill out a form to start the club and find a teacher advisor to help the club be successful. The clubs can range from a lot of topics. They can be for things like sports, photography, Model UN, art, cooking, ping pong, or any other topic that interests students.
“I want people to have fun at the school,” Mr. James said. “We need some fun. And to diversify our personal portfolios on life.”
Clubs will meet at least once a month, most likely after school. Clubs can meet more often if they want to or have reason to. We students will take advantage of the opportunity to enrich their experience in our school community by forming clubs.
“Do you want to meet new people and learn new things? Come talk to me and we’ll make your dreams come true,” Mr. James said.
