Two AHSS Students competed in an invitational art competition hosted by Terra Santa College on Monday. Rakan Al Alamy competed in the sixth and seventh grade category while Edward Tchakmakian competed in the eighth and ninth grade category. Rakan won first place in his category and Edward received honorable mention.
About 15 students from seven different schools participated in the competition. The students were given two and a half hours to create an original piece of art by drawing or painting under the prompt of “Peace and Goodness.” The competition was judged by Dr. Ibrahim AlKhatib, a professor at the University of Jordan.
This was the second competition Terra Santa College has hosted. The two art students were selected and supervised by Ms. Rana Naser. Congratulations to our wonderful young artists.
