We are pleased to announce that the accreditation of Abdul Hamid Sharaf School has been successfully renewed by Cognia. This is an intensive validation of the school’s American Program that occurs every five to six years. We would like to thank staff, parents and students who participated in the accreditation process. The tireless efforts of our Accreditation Coordinator Ms. Alia Aqrabawi and her team are especially appreciated. – AHSS Administration.
AHSS is currently accredited by Cognia, formerly known as AdvancED. The accreditation will be good through June of 2030. The school was first accredited by the Commission on International and Trans-Regional Accreditation (CITA) in 2003. CITA was acquired by AdvancED in 2008. The school was re-accredited in 2009 and 2014 by the North Central Association Commission on Accreditation and School Improvement (NCA CASI), a division of AdvancED. In 2019 the school’s accreditation was renewed by Cognia (formerly AdvancED). Cognia was formed by the merger of AdvancED and Measured Progress in 2018. With accreditation, the Abdul Hamid Sharaf School diploma is internationally recognized.
